01

Purpose and acceptance

SURPRIA is an online service that lets users create a personalized surprise, send private links to recipients and, with their consent, record their video reaction.

Creating an account, purchasing a plan or using the service means accepting these terms in the version applicable on the date of use or purchase.

02

Creator account

The creator is responsible for the information provided when registering and must keep login credentials confidential. The service must be used lawfully and with respect for the rights of others.

  • Do not use SURPRIA to distribute unlawful, hateful, threatening content or content that infringes third-party rights.
  • Do not attempt to bypass technical limits, security mechanisms or plan entitlements.
  • Make sure you hold the necessary rights to the text, images or videos added to a surprise.
03

Creating and activating a surprise

The creator chooses a theme, personalizes the announcement and may prepare recipients before purchase. Once payment is confirmed, the surprise is activated immediately without manual approval by SURPRIA.

An activated surprise may be locked to preserve the consistency of an experience that has already been shared with recipients.

04

Prices and payment

Prices displayed at checkout include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Payments are processed by Stripe. SURPRIA does not store full payment card details.

The selected plan determines, among other things, the number of links and/or reactions available. The features and price that apply are those shown before payment confirmation.

05

Withdrawal and refund requests

For a distance purchase, consumers generally have a statutory 14-day withdrawal period from conclusion of the contract, unless a legal exception applies. SURPRIA does not remove this right merely because the service has been used.

Where the consumer asks for performance of a service to begin before the withdrawal period ends, the consequences provided by consumer law apply. Loss of the withdrawal right for digital content or a fully performed service can occur only where the legal conditions, including the required express agreements and acknowledgements, are met.

Any withdrawal request, refund request or order issue may be sent to contact@surpria.com. Refunds required by law are not restricted by SURPRIA’s commercial refund policy.

06

Recipient links and consent

Recipient links are private and personalized. The creator is responsible for sending them to the intended people and should not publish them indiscriminately.

Before any recording, the recipient is informed and asked for consent to camera access, microphone access and storage of the video reaction. Refusing consent prevents the reaction from being recorded.

07

Availability period and reactions

The surprise and its reactions are intended to remain available for the period stated by the service. Creators should download any memories they wish to keep permanently.

  • A surprise remains active for up to 90 days from activation. It may be archived earlier once all planned recipients have received their link and a reaction has been recorded for each of them.
  • When the surprise is archived, collection of new reactions stops and media deletion is scheduled for 30 days later.
  • Video reactions and the relevant media are deleted when this 30-day period expires. SURPRIA may send a reminder approximately 7 days before deletion. Event data is deleted 90 days after media deletion; orders and payments are retained separately. Each completed Memory Movie remains downloadable for 7 days after rendering, even if its source reactions have since been deleted. Account deletion may end access earlier. If a Memory Movie is already queued or rendering at that deadline, source deletion is deferred until processing finishes.
  • Deleting an account permanently removes content linked to the account, except data that must be retained by law.
08

Availability and liability

SURPRIA uses reasonable measures to maintain the availability and security of the service. Interruptions may occur for maintenance, updates, technical incidents or external causes.

The creator remains responsible for uploaded content and use of the service. SURPRIA is not responsible for losses caused by misuse, voluntary sharing of a private link or an independent device/browser incompatibility.

09

Intellectual property

The SURPRIA brand, visual identity, themes, interfaces, technical texts and proprietary software elements remain protected by applicable rights.

Creators retain the rights they hold in their own content and grant SURPRIA only the permissions necessary to host, technically process and display that content in order to provide the service.

10

Contact and applicable law

The service is operated from France. These terms are governed by French law without depriving consumers of any mandatory protections available to them. For questions, complaints or order-related requests, contact:
